Winchester Model 12 info

I have a Winchester Model 12 12gauge pump that was my grandfathers and would like to find out what info I can about it. Is there anywhere that I can plug in the model or serial number and find something out?

What would you like to know? I have one, and I have been learning about them every chance I get!

Any Pics?
Barrel length?
choke?
other markings?
serial number? 231,xxx (etc.)

This will date your shotgun.

Don't have any pics and my camera is in the shop. The only thing I can call a serial # is where the mag tube meets the part where you feed the shells in underneath 1350161.

It's a model 12 12 ga 2 3/4 chamber modified choke. All original as the #'s on mag tube and body match. Tried the link to Win date of man and got nothing. Have tried some years ago and found nothing then. Will do a google and see what I can find again.

I have a mint example of the model 12 riot gun, they were beautiful guns, craftsmanship we will not see again, because we can't afford it. Even the riot guns got beautiful wood, which today we would have to pay extra for. They did not work easilt like a Mossberg, but gave one a bank vault like feel in the action, kind of like driving an older quality Mercedes.
