I just bought a used Winchester Model 70 Featherweight .270. It is stainless with black synthetic stock. Also has a hinged floor plate. Can someone give me a rough idea of what exactly I have. This is my first Winchester rifle I have owned. This will be used mainly for deer hunting with occassional varmint hunting (not worried about pelt damage).
Thanks

Well......

What it is yer asking is not very clear. But some of the obvious things are an all weather long action bolt rifle that should serve you very well. Look on the right side of the barrel and see if it says "classic". If it does then it is a CPRF. And if it does not then it is just a puch feed type action which arent as valuable and in imo arent as good a design, but thats personal preference. Hope that helps!
