Winchester Primer Costs

The gun show last month had them for around $23 per 1,000. That's to much for me, I shoot Magtech and Wolf for $7 to $8 less per 1,000.

Winchester Small Pistol primers in the black-and-white OEM packs were going for $1.69 last year. This past Saturday I saw the same primers for $3.49 each.

I also saw some Federal small pistol match primers at $35 per thousand.

Ugghhhhh.

Same here at the last show I went to end of Oct.

At the gun show here last weekend they were about $25.00 and the boxes looked about 5 years old.

I could have gotten them brand new for that with change back.

The local gun show here in central Texas two weeks ago had new Winchester primers for $25/1000. Other brands were more. Everything is going up. I can still get them for less on the net, but have to pay that darn HazMat fee. Luckily, the gunshow had powder in 4# jugs for $58 which is $4 more than the net, but without the HazMat fee. Good luck finding anything cheap.

I bought my last WIN LPs for $22 a thousand but they have gone up to $26 a thousand and was told they will hit $30 a thousand in a month or two, at my local shop.

I am looking into Wolf primers for $85/5K on the 'Net but the hazmat fee PLUS S&H kills your savings.

I just bought 5,000 Win small rifle primers from Powder Valley. The total was $131.45 shipped to my front door. Not too bad considering that while at the Charlotte fun show last Saturday there were none to be found (except CCI for about $24 /m).

Last weekend at the gun show, I paid $21.95/1000 for Winchester small pistol. I bought 2 bricks of'em, I now have 5000 on hand.:D
