Anybody else had any primers fail to fire from Winchester, WLR and WLRM? I've had two now. One last october during hunting season and another today. the WLRM was on a 300WSM and the WLR was on a 25-06.

I have never had a Winchester, Remington or CCI primer fail to ignite ever! That includes large and small, standard and magnum, pistol and rifle...

What's the weapon and cartridge? I had some winny primers that were taking a dent but not firing. Turned out the dent wasn't "quite" enough. Installed new firing pin and spring and have not had the issue since.

I've only been reloading about 6 years now and have never had an issue with a primer not going off, and this includes a lot of Winchesters.

After many years I finally had a handful of primers fail. They were Winchester small pistol primers. Second hits did not fire them, a different gun did not fire them, and decapping them and smashing them with a hammer failed to fire them. The next sleeve of 100 from the some box of 1K fired fine in the same brass and gun, and never a failure since. Not the rest of that 1K nor the next 2 or so K. Quite a few of which were fired in the same brass and gun. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Your from the cold north like I am. Your not oiling your firing pin are you. It will turn to gum and slow the firing pin down to the point that it is on the edge of not having enough impact to set off the primer.

Just a thought

Win, Rem, CCI, Fed, or what ever has never failed me once in several decades of reloading. I would be taking a closer look at my weapon as to the cause. Two mis-fires in that short of time span would be very unlikely to be the primer that failed.
