Winchester serial numbers

I just bought a Winchester 100 in .308, and I don't think it's pre-64, but I'd like to know. Is there a way to check the serial number and know?

According to the list in the Blue Book, the "approximate last number" for the Model 100 in 1963 was 78863.

Is the stock checkered or impressed with a basketweave texture?
Checkered is older; I don't know if they changed from checkering to basketweave exactly at the first of 1964 but it was close.
