Winchester Weak Point

I had to replace another forearm tube this morning because one of the bolt guide rails fell off. The first one was a 1300 and now my Uncle's 1200.

Is this a common problem among any other Winchester pump owners?

Can you explain how it fell off or where it broke or post pictures?

I have a 1300, the rail works fine. How did you manage to do it? Post pics.

I'll have to get the part from my Uncle for a pic. The guide rails are only tack welded to the round tube and that is where both have come apart. We fixed the first one a few years ago by welding it back together and we got lucky this time as he had a spare parts gun laying around. I asked the gunshop owner about this the first time it happened and he said that he gets them in once in a while.

Asked the family wizard about them last night when we were chatting by phone. He said he had known action bars to break but in his experience the 1200/1300s had more problems with shell latches and extractors than anything else. YM, of course, MV.
