Window stickers a good idea?

I didn't read the whole thread but I decided against any stickers that clues in I am pro gun. For that matter no stickers period that might make a statement. People are such psychos they have no problem defacing property if no one is looking. On the other hand I have a jacket just covered in gun patches and whatever else pleases me. If someone has a problem they will have to discuss it with me face to face. Deface me has push back. My vehicle is just a defenseless mass of metal.

I used to put pro-gun stickers on my cars. But I've been worried about tipping off someone looking for that tell-tale sign that there may be a gun in the vehicle. I don't even put my NRA stickers in the window anymore.
Don't advertise anything. I agree.

On the note of window stickers, I see a lot of guys advertising their expensive sound systems. "KICKER" in giant letters.

At least with a tiny NRA sticker, there may or MAY NOT be guns in the car. With an audio system sticker, it's guaranteed to be there.

I have several stickers on my car. My car is an expression of me. But then again my bright blue Subaru with a wing and a pink (cherry blossom red) emblem doesnt exactly go unnoticed by itself. Im not going to let the fear of some a hole doing something stupid keep me from enjoying my hobbies.

I've never put a sticker on my vehicles, other than registration and inspection. I find them tacky (lol).

The LEO saw my decal as he checked out the interior, and asked if there were any firearms in the car. "Yes, Sir; in my trunk, all separate from their magazines." He had me stay in the driver's seat, and pop the trunk. He went through each gun, went to his car and called in all of them. Then he invited me to watch him as he unloaded every magazine, put the guns back in the trunk, and handed the shells back to me.

FYI:
I know that, in TN, loaded magazines, no matter how separately stored from the gun, is illegal if you don't have a carry permit. It's like that in CT, too. The mags must be empty as well as separate. Folks should check the actual requirements and the laws in their own state.

Regarding gun stickers:
Why entice? My ex-girlfriend and I once had a little issue in a mall parking lot when she wanted to leave her bag on the seat of my vehicle. "There's nothing valuable in it" was her quote. I told her that they won't know that until after they've busted out my window and have dumped out the bag. Same thing with the stickers. There may not be a gun in the car but they won't know that until they've broken in.

I personally am not a huge fan of a bunch of stickers on cars, the one I have is a small one of my college logo. I had never really though of it as an incentive for someone to break in before, but I can see how it would be. One of my friends however has a "Fight Crime Shoot Back" sticker on the bumper of his truck for over a year now with no problems though. And I know quite a few people with NRA stickers with no problems.
