Wiping down a gun after handling?

Quick cleaning question...

I tend to be (overly?) paranoid about rust. I was wondering; should I be wiping down my P220 after handling it, like after a dry fire session? If so, what is the best solution for removing the oil or whatever from fingerprints that might cause rust?

I use a wool cloth with Rig on it and wipe them down after handling them.
Works good and got the idea from the local gun shop.

Been using R.I.G. and a sheepwool Rig-Rag for over 40 years.

There is nothing better that I know of.

I have their stainless formula as well for my stainless guns.

I use a silicon gun & reel cloth. I wipe them down with it every time I handle my guns.
