Any custom guns you find yourself wishing about right now?
Since I've been talking about 'em, I've found myself wishing for three things today.
-A Ruger Redhawk stainless, in .45 Colt, with new grips, shortened to 4.5" with an action job. (Clements Custom does this.)
-A Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Casull customized into the 4" or so Alaskan beast that Wild West Guns makes.
-Another stainless Ruger Redhawk in .45 Colt, this time with the barrel shortened to 3".
Accessories, of course. Holsters for each of them (leather, with matching belt and speedloader pouches). Ten HKS speedloaders would be a nice touch.
And, of course, ammo. 3,000 rounds .45 Colt, made on good brass, featuring a 270 grain Keith bullet that would leave the 4.5" barrel at around 1150 feet per second, maybe more (don't want TOO much noise and recoil). At some 792 foot pounds of energy, that'd be a plenty powerful all-rounder load. There are plenty of lighter and heavier loads out there in .45 Colt (and, of course, .454) for other uses.
So RIGHT THIS SECOND, are there any customized or non-run-of-the-mill guns you want?
In the spirit of making dreams come true, anybody want to lend me like three or four grand? I'm good for it...
