Just got back from the range. Pasta and I had a chance to play hooky, and to try out The Old Man. I'm sure he'll be in here before too long and mention he needed to break in his new gun. Don't believe him, he could think about a clay, and it would break. I should break him in.
The wind is gusting here something fierce, but still we had to give it a try.
All I can say is wow, that gun is smooth, and I suck at wobble.
13 out of 100... :barf: Pasta did about triple that amount.
Still, it was better than being at work.
Oh, and I got a synthetic stock to keep the wood one looking nice. Got it right here on TFL, from rkb3119.
I thought it would look silly, but there are a lot of 56 year olds that have plastic parts. :D
Game plan now is off to the pattern board, and reload, reload, reload.

Have a great weekend,
Dave

Don't You Believe It

Thanks for talking me up, but 15 is hardly thinking about them and they break. And I did need to break the gun in! I will say the wind at my back helped my stance. It pushed me into a forward lean. As for being at work, it's kind of like golf. A bad day on the course is better than a good day at work. :D

A good start.....

I like shooting in wind. It helps concentration and keeps the presentations new and interesting.

Shooting them a little closer to the trap helps the score wiith not as much time for things to degrade.

Fairly windy today and shortly off to PGC gambol I for some wobble with Calliope.

Thanks for the encouragement, Dave. My wife and I shot trap when we were kids. That was some time ago. I'm having to relearn everything. It's fun, though, especially the wobble.
I sent you an email about the pad on my 870. Turns out the gunshop that installed it is still around. I'll have to send them a pic of it before I swap out the furniture.
Hope you did well at wobble.

Dave
