Yes, I read it, and understand it. The coating is alleged to cause sticking, especially in tight chambers.

That is why I clarified the fact that I have fired thousands of rounds of Wolf through my finest firearms (tight, match-grade chambers). All rounds chambered properly, fired properly and ejected properly. No stickiness, etc. That is to say, flawless.

Armenia is not an attribute that can be made regarding Wolf ammunitions. Many American ammunitions, especially in 9mm Luger seem to be down-loaded by as much as 200 FPS below it true capability. Wolf ammunition is not anemic. It seems to be loaded to potent and proper levels.

I have never had a problem with either. I admit, I don't use much Blaser because the aluminum case seems weak but has never failed to be reliable.

I've shot a ton of aluminum thru my Colt Defender. Never had a problem.

Wolf falls under the NEVER EVER EVER again category! Nasty, dirty, oily, crap ammo!:cuss:

Over 50,000 rounds of CCI Blazer 9mm through six different Glocks and various other handguns, with no ammunition related malfunctions and only one non-ammo malfunction (had Glock magazine base come off during an IDPA Classifier), and over 10,000 rounds of Wolf 7.62x39 through various SKSs and AKs with no ammunition related malfunctions. Most non-ammo malfunctions involved 30 round magazines in the SKS :).

Wolf and Blazer work.

Just my .02,

I've used the aluminum blazer exclusively for plinking in my G19. I'm only up to about 1200 rds (+200 or so of gold dots), so it's a little early to tell if there's any unusual wear. But I'd be really surprised if there were.

It's about the cheapest brand-name 9mm I can find (sometimes by $1 or more) and quite a bit cleaner than anything else I've tried in the price range. Accuracy isn't perfect, but certainly good enough for practice.

I'm a big fan of CCI in general. Prices are excellent and I've never had a single failure in any caliber I've tried.

I've used Wolf pistol ammo in 9mm and .45 in various SIG and GLOCK pistols. I never had any malfunctions with the 9mm. With the .45 (in a GLOCK 30) I had misfires due to hard primers. In both calibers the powder had a very nasty odor and left a little more fouling than usual, but it cleaned up easily. With Wolf .223 in a Ruger Mini-14, I had a case stick in the chamber. This was with the older lacquer-coated cases; newer production is polymer-coated.

With aluminum Blazer, I have never had any malfunctions attributable to ammo in any 9mm or .45 pistols. With revolvers, the slightly rougher (compared to a smooth brass or slick nickel-plated brass case) aluminum case would not always eject cleanly, but none of them ever failed to fire.

Bottom line: I wholeheartedly recommend Blazer aluminum, and give a qualified yes to Wolf.

I'm quite fond of aluminum Blazer. Don't see any advantage to the brass (I've heard there are issues with reloading it - so why bother), but it's the same price around here so I'll use it too.

Polymer coated WOLF is some of the best ammo on the market (I just wish I could find it in .308 Winchester).

As for Blazer, only used 9mm aluminum in pistols and it works just fine. Although I wonder if it is reloadable.

I've been using Wolf in my SKS since I bought it last summer. 640 rounds downrange and zero failures, for cheap plinking ammo, its pretty accurate too. I recently bought a 1000 round case of Wolf 154 grain soft point, that I am keeping as a "stash". This round is pretty close to 30-30.

I haven't used any CCI ammo in my pistols, because I reload all of my target ammo. I REFUSE to pay 25 cents/round.:neener: I reload for 11 cents/round, 40 S&W.:neener:

At the range on friday I tried a box of tiger, bear, and wolf. My sks shot the tiger and bear without a problem but I had 2 FTL and 2 FTE out of the 20 round box of wolf. That gun just doesn't seem to like it. I shot a few boxes of blazer years back in one of my revolvers without incident.

Wolf : Never shot any.

CCI Aluminum case Blazer: I could not begin to share how many tens of thousands of rounds I have shot of this with no ammunition / no gun problems.

Lots of 9mm, 45ACP ran through 10k rounds of each in short order - more than once. Other handguns calibers - especially .38spl, last time we got 4 cases and it did not last long.

Current carry load is CCI Blazer FMJ, as are the spare mags.

Been shooting a lot , especially at night, and just forgot to load up carry loads. No biggie, not the first time I have carried Blazer, or FMJ, or Blazer FMJ.

I last cleaned my Kel-Tec ~ 750 rds ago. Yep, all CCI Blazers. I quit counting at 20K rounds the rounds I fired through this gun. No malfunctions with this gun from get-go. No fluff and buff, no nothing. Added pinkie extensions on some mags, and this was actually too much "accessories" - just I assist with some learning this gun and have them for that reason.
It won't be the first time I have gone 1k rds, even 1500, and even 2k... round between cleanings either...whenever I do decide to clean the thing.
Yep- I carry a dirty gun.

I do not worry about many things some do. Gun fits, I test a variety of ammunition with mags and just shoot the damn gun.
I do not worry about what everyone else carries, hangs off theirs or the ammunition they shoot.

not only is CCI/Blazer the most accurate and reliable target load in my 9mm's, its cheap.. whats as good if not better? Its the cleanest load Ive had in any of my 9mm pistols!
easily my 1st choice for target ammo.

Only Wolf ammo Ill use with satisfaction is the 7.62x39 FMJ for the SKS's. great imo especially for the price.
I dont like their pistol Cal ammo...

ip.

Both have reasonable plinking accuracy and reliability. They are both dirty, and I wouldn't trust my life to either of them... but for plinking stuff I'd buy them all day long

I've shot the aluminum Blazer in .45 acp with no troubles. I also shot some 7.62X39 in a friends AK and it was accurate and cycled with no problems.

I have not fired a whole lot of either, but what I have fired worked OK.

I see a lot of wolf and aluminum cases in the brass bucket at the club so I know a lot of other people are shooting it.

I've used thousands of rounds of Wolf ammo without a single problem. I've also used hundreds of rounds of Blazer with mixed results. My .380 auto likes it OK but it will not extract from my .357 mag.

My SKS loves Wolf 7.62x39.

My Glock had no problems with...lessee...I think it was a box-and-a-half of 9mm I put through it before hearing enough "scary stories" to stop using it to plink.

My Bersa Thunder .380 would **NOT** function reliably at all with Wolf.

I have an AR-15 coming from G&R Tactical...I don't think it will be getting any Wolf.

Blazer....I bought a box of 9mm Blazer for Glock plinking, but haven't used any yet. No opinion.

Never tried Wolf.

I just decided to try Blazer aluminum, to save some money. I shot 200 rds through 2 pistols (G19, M&P9c) with no problems. Never found anything that either gun would not feed reliably.

Switched to WWB when I ran out of Blazer, and was immediately surprised at how much smoke the WWB generated. I have shot thousands of rounds of it and hadn't really noticed it before, but it was so much worse than the Blazer that it really stood out.
