sold a Glock 17, 36 and a RIA today to buy me my 1st AR. it's a RRA 24" varmint. gotta love that 2 stage trigger. going to take it to the range tomorrow to play with it. it's sporting a 6-24x42 Sightron SII. will have pics tomorrow.

i bought the last one from the dealer at the gun show. he had quite a few RRA's at the start or the show yesterday, but had about 3 left (2 - 18" varmint and 1 - A2) when i bought mine at noon. was going to get a Bushy Varminter, but after feeling the trigger on the RRA and the price, i was sold...

price and the 2 stage NM trigger is standard on all RRA's and the one that i got has the Hogue overmold with it. all for $823

didn't quite make it to the range today. went back to the gunshow with a friend and got me a Colt AR-15 for trade of a Para 14.45, AA Glock Conversion kit and $100

still have a few Glocks and a P99...it's going to be interesting to see what is more accurate in my hands, my 10FP or my RRA...

Wow Quack! You sure move fast. Before the first bullet exits the bore the gun has a mate. :) The first one you bought looks like one of my Colts (now residing in NV b/c of our draconian laws). Congratulations and have fun.

Congratulations, I just got "evil" myself. You are, however, either unmarried or a better man than I, for had I brought home two in the same weekend I probably would not have had a place to bring them to...

Congrats! Two very nice looking evil nasty black guns!:D

I'm interested in knowing how your 24" gun performs at the range.

i'm married and we're DINK (Dual Income, No Kids)
just had to give the wife answers when i came home with them:

Saturday:
sold some "things" and bought a new rifle.

Sunday:
Sold more "things" and paid $100 for a rifle.
no i didn't charge it and yes we still have $ in the bank.

she didn't know about the "things" when i originally bought them.

Aurgh! Trader!! I guess you had enough Glocks to pawn them off though, so I guess it is okay.

if it's any consolation, i'm sending $ out today for a NIB G24 3rd gen...

Haw!

I'm buying my AR in parts, that way my wife just sees little bits of black metal arriving.

When she asks what they are for, I just mumble something about parts for her headlight oil, and bumper gears. :p

ShaiVong: Dont forget blinker fluid, you wouldnt want her to be driving around town without that critical component. :D
I play the same parts game with my parents, but I say its to replace worn-out parts on my other ARs (strangely, I never remove any of the old parts to add the new ones and occasionally a whole new rifle appears in my safe  ).

Snaps: The 80% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen mixture that A-I-R is ideally composed of is so hard to maintain. Thats good for at least a few big items.
Just remember, TAPCO.com = The Auto Parts COmpany. :D
