well, whats your opinion of the cz-82. it looks like a good first pistol for me. the ones from aim surplus look to be in very good condition and the one gun i have from cz is great. what about magazines? can they be found for a decent price?

thanks

I few months ago I got a cz82 from AIM. I looked like it had never been issued to anyone. The holster was pretty ruff, but i'm not going to be carrying it around in that anyway. VERY nice pistol for the price

I purchased a CZ83 awhile ago. Fantastic shooter. The only thing that ticks me off about it is that I bought it before the 82's flooded the milsurp market!:banghead: I could've saved a little! Great guns though, can't go wrong with owning one.

I bought a CZ 82 from AIM a few months ago. It wasn't in great shape and it shoots about a foot low at 7 yards. But they are claiming the more recent shipments are in better condition.

Mine is in excellent mechanical condition, but it looks like they dumped a bunch of them in a barrel for storage. Mine has a few nicks and scratches but it shoots much better than I ever dreamed. It came with two magazines that looked brand new. I hadn't thought much about needing more.

Just Trying...

... to justify owning one. Already have a Bulgy Mak which (like my Taurus snubby) is a good pocket summer gun. My Glock 19 has 3 extra rounds of a more powerful cartridge. At the price AIM is asking, its super affordable, but even so I just don't want to buy another pistol to sit in my safe and I cxan't rationalize it being a superior CCW pistol over the above mentioned three.

Mr. Shootist, its a great little gun, and when the supply dries up and you decided you could live without it, someone will give you a lot more than what you paid for it.

I got two this summer. I wanted a pistol and I wanted something good, cheap to shoot and most importantly cheap to buy. Cause as the saying goes... One is none and two is one. This way I have a back up if ever needed, same gun, same mags. Mine look like they were used but never hard. Lots of life left in both of them.

I just got one from SOG .
It is in decent shape .
I would like to get some Grips for it .
Saw marshal grips anyone have these ?
E-mailed about them a few times this past week
and no response .

I bought one of these before they became C&R eligible. After the C&R eligibility was made known I bought another for less money without the need for transfer fees. I also picked up a real nice IWB Falco holster from makarov.com before they stopped selling them. For me they are one of the most practically accurate guns I own. I consider them to be a lot of gun for the money.

I picked up my new CZ82 today, as stated previously holster is worn but the gun itself appears hardly used if not new. I like the ambi safety and mag release as standard features. Trigger pull in single and double action is nice.
Does anyone have some suggestions on what works and what doesn't for ammo? FMJ only or will it feed JHP? I'm going to try it tomorrow but all I have for ammo right now is FMJ.

How are the sights on the CZ-82's?

That is my biggest hang up with my EG Mak and my 1903 Colt...the sights are difficult to see under low-light indoor range conditions (particularly when you are aiming at the center black of a target).

PS. I've tried the glow in the dark paint

Hoffy

I own all 3 also .
The CZ 82 has the best sights hands down .
For my old eyes I still need a dab of paint
or Bright site .
Ordered one from Aim will see how theirs compares to SOG .
You Folks got to check out
www.marschalgrips.com some really nice stuff .
I finally got a hold of him , no fault of his my Spam filter was taking all his messages out .

How long did it take for Marschal grips to get back to you? I just sent them an e-mail on Friday about a set of checkered wattle for my CZ83. So I'm not expecting anything until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest. After that it's going to the 'smith for a set of Mepro Night Sites. Will post about everything after work is done.

I'm impressed with the CZ82 that I purchased yesterday. Fit and finish are very good, trigger pull in single and double action is smooth. Best of all this one is extremely accurate with Federal FMJ's, didn't get a chance to try anything else. Granted I only got to fire 50 rds but all were rapid fire and there was not a single glitch.
