working my longbow a little

For the last 6 months or so my bow has been hanging on the wall collecting dust so after a little pistol work the other day i stuck the green guy on one of my archery target and set him out at 25 yards
the weapon; Black Creek Banshee 45# recurve

the ammo 30" graphite shaft with 125 grn field points and feather fletching

First shot things got ugly, it went high and hit the block holding the green guy

result i got to throw away $13

then i settled down and went to working

next

I worked it about an hour before putting it back up, i was pretty consitent out to about 40 yards when cold weather put a stop to my archery practice last fall, now that its warming back up its about time to spend a couple of hours a week getting back in tune with my Banshee

Nice! I use my old indoor arrows for my recurve. 31" 2512 alum w/ 145gr points. It's like lobbing a spear. When I got my bow back out last year I stacked a couple bales of hay for a target. First shot went slam through and is still somewhere under the thatch.
