Rifle is a 24" DPMS .95" BBL SS 1:9 upper. lower is a stag with RRA NM 2 stage LPK, glass is SWFA super sniper 10X40 fixed 30mm tube

Projectiles are Hornady .22 cal BTHP #2278

My powder choices are varget and H335, I'm choosing varget

Primers are CCI 41

Brass is mixed date LC

My Lymans 47 doesn't have anything even close to a 68 gain FMJ in varget, but modern reloading 2nd edition has 70 grain starting at 24.5 grains with 26 grains max.

2.271 OAL fits my magazines and operates in the rifle without touching the lands, I have no way of measuring Ogive or jump I'll start at 2.269

I'm thinking I should probably get a better set of brass but this is what I have for now.

I primed the brass this evening and will start loading tomorrow night. 5 each in 2 grain increments from 24.6-26.2 grains.

I finally broke down and bought a new chrono, Caldwell G2.

Range day is Thursday, I have 100 yards to work with but I'm hoping to work up a load that will really reach out when I go to the desert.

Suggestions welcomed.
