Enfield No 4 Mk 1
Enfield No 2 Revolver
Winchester 1897

Or, if you allowed just after WW2...

Yugo M24/47
Yugo M57
Winchester Model 12

1917 Revolver and a BAG FULL OF MOON CLIPS
M1 Garand and a BAG FULL OF ENBLOC CLIPS
Winchester 1897 and a BAG FULL OF LOOSE 12GA shells

This would be SUCH a FUN GAME!!

Rifle: StG-44
Pistol: US Automatic Pistol, Caliber .30, Model of 1918 (Hey, that's what the military called it! :neener: )
Shotgun: Browning A5

for me, the rifle would have to be the M1 Garand.
shotgun, again there would be no contest for me; the winchester 1897.
as for the pistol, i am undecided. my first thought is to go with the 1911. but a S&W 1917 is just so dang sexy i think that i just might get the nod on fun-factor alone.

I suppose for the shotgun I have an M1917 I got at a gun show for $110 with a shot-out and pitted barrel that shotguns .30-06 rounds, peppering the target with pieces of copper jacket.

A 3 gun match with WWII firearms? Sign me UP!!
Heck ya!! While I've never shot 3 gun. I have used my '97, /arand and M1 carbine in IPSC side matches. Another game you might find a blast SASS has a "Wild Bunch" match you use a 1911 a '97 shotgun and a lever gun.

Seriously, you guys have to stop with the Mosin nagant, bayonet, and nagant revolver jokes. I'm dying laughing over here. The mere fact that it was referred to as the "he-man division"!!!!! I love it.

Who says we're joking?

I shoot mine with my fancy Soviet hat on!

I'm involved with a group that does a very informal mil-surp 3 gun event two or three times a year. We allow non mil-surp shotguns, Remy or Mossy as many do not have the mil-surps.

My best showing has been with a Carbine and C96. I've also used a No4 and No2 Enfield, Garand and Victory. Revolvers are slow!

It's a lot of fun, we spend as much time shooting others peoples guns as we do competing.

Did any other country other then the US field a shot gun in large numbers?

Interestingly enough, with a couple of friends, I've kicked around the idea of what a WWII-themed 3 Gun match would look like. I think it could be a lot of fun, and a great way to get people to pull their Garand out from the back of the safe.

I think the ammo costs would be a bit of a downer though, at least for those shooting .45 ACP and .30-06.
