Would a Saiga 308 satify your AK itch?

I only like the unconverted .308 as a ranch style rifle. Something I can take with me and beat the hell out of without too much worry about it. The trigger is pretty crummy but it is relatively accurate for being a toss around gun.

I have other AKs that I use to throw in the endless abyss called the "AK itch" haha. I am a full on AK addict.

I prefer the unconverted look. I want to get a couple, one in .223 and one in 7.62X39. The only converting I would do would to add a Tapco pistol-grip stock and forend, and get some Surefire magazines for them. I might swap the trigger group for U.S. Made ones but most likely wouldn't. I think they're great guns and very much worth the price tag.

the 308 saiga is completely accurate, and rockin/ However, if you like ultrasuck-u-suck triggers, then don't convert it. Otherwise , convert it, or find one of the ones that were made, with a thumbhole wood stock, or the hog'sback stock. they are allready converted, with an improved trigger group.

Not with 7.62x39 at .25/round, and .308 a good bit higher.
If .308 could be found at a similar price, my semi-auto for that would be an FAL.

The SKS is my 'AK clone', and has better ergonomics. An aperture sight from Tech Sights can be added to either type.
