Would like help build date on 581

I picked up a 581 ser #bad28xx and would like to know what year it was made. It is blued and has m stamped on box. Paid 500 Thanks for any info

1987 or 1988. Produced from 80-88. M stamps began in 87.

Hello friends and neighbors// If it has the original wood grips the date is stamped inside. At least they are on my 1983 586.

There is a S&W revolver DOB sticky in revolvers also. Radagast and others have it down and provide a great service to THR.

Nice purchase.

Picked ot up and the date was inside the grip 1988. Boy the trigger on it feels better then my new performance center 357.
