Hi fellas, got a question for you, or maybe two.... I'm looking for some information on my grandfather-in-law's Savage-Springfield 745B.
On the left side of the barrel there is a stamp that reads: "SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION - WESTFIELD, MASS, U.S.A."
The right side reads: "PROOF TESTED 12 GAUGE - 2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER"
There are 3 engravings on either side of the shotgun of a grouse/pheasant between two shrubs, and on the right hand side of the receiver there is a stamp that reads Springfield 745B.
What year were these produced? What would one of these be worth? Not looking to part ways with it, God only knows it's one of the highlights of my collection... just never heard much about it.
