I'm looking at the Hatch operator gloves because the cheaper Nomex Aviator gloves don't come in my size.

They also come with one with a cut wrist, any reason to have a longer set of gloves? Keep my carbon fiber watch from being dinged up?

I like longer gloves to keep nasty cold drafts from seeping up my coat sleeve.

I think with some of those Hatch gloves you can remove the stitching in the trigger finger area to expose the finger and not ruin the glove.

I never did get a pair of Hatch gloves - I found a nice set of long leather gloves (cashmere lined, too! :p ) at Dillard's.
