630 was slower then Unique. It was somewhere between Accurate#9 and 2400, or somewhere on either side of those two. That was its big problem and why it was discontinued; the burn rate was inconsistent from lot to lot due to inconsistent granule size. Since consistency could not be maintained from lot to lot, published load data was unreliable and loads had to be worked up from scratch for each new lot. Major ammo manufacturers could do this, but not reloaders who relied on the same published data for years. But when you had a good load, it performed really well until you ran out of that lot of powder. I had some really good loads for .357 and .38+P, and .30Carbine.
I just started reloading again about a year ago and I've been using Lil Gun for the .30Carbine and 296 and Power Pistol for the 357 but they just aren't the same. I'd like to get back to one powder for all 3 with similar results as I had with 630.
