I have an opportunity to buy a 1943 German Mauser with all matching parts. Great condition and shiny bore. What's the value of it? Should I go for it?

I'm no Mauser expert, but that looks a lot more like a Yugo 24/47 than a German Kar 98K.

Actually you're right happygeek. I just found out it is a Yugo M48, not an original mauser. With it being Yugoslavian what is its value?

Indeed, that is a Yugo, not a german rifle. Its worth about $250.

They're going for $270 in VG condition online. Shipping will run you $25 - 30 depending on location. If you don't have your 03 and are paying for a transfer that would run you another $10 - 30 depending.

Out of curiosity, did the seller tell you the rifle was built on German machinery set up in occupied Serbia and that the crest of the receiver was dated 1943?
