Got a few boxes from my son for my b-day, was wondering if the primers are crimped in. The headstamp has a x in a circle in it like some of the military stuff I've seen. If it is crimped will I be able to deprime it with my trusty old Lee Turret press? Also some recomendations on removing crips would be helpful. Thanks for your help.

If it has the Circled Cross, it's NATO standard

In .223 that means a crimp outside the primer pocket.

I use the RCBS crimp remover, which is a swager. I've been using it for 30 years, but one has to operate by feel:

CH makes a more expensive tool that swages crimps, but you cans see what you are doing.

Dillon makes a still more expensive swage tool, with far more output:

Most of the makers have inexpensive cutting tools that attempt to ream out the edge of the pocket. I don't trust them, because it's easy to cut too much.
