Are they the same company. Looking at their websites they sure look the same.
X-Treme bullets have a great rep but freedom is not so good, from what I've seen.

Freedom Munitions, and XTreme are sister companies. They purchased XTreme back in late 2012. XTreme Bullet Co was manufacturing bullets under another name years ago, but had really bad customer service. There building owner also built the machines that were used to manufacture the bullets. When that company shut down and left unpaid equipment behind the building owner started up XTreme. XTreme offered a great product with better customer service, but up till the Freedom merger they charged shipping. At that time you could buy XTreme bullets from places like TJConvera for the same price with free shipping. Sometime late 2012 the XTreme web site changed to what you see today, and started shipping free. Now days they really have pretty good CS, and fast shipping.

The only reason I have any insight to this, because they sponsor a few shooters here in Ga, and did a few commercial tapings at our local Gun Club. Many of the shooters you see in there web commercial videos are local IDPA/IPSIC shooters along with recognizable pros. I had the chance to talk with some of the XTreme/Freedom employes. It was a pretty cool story, and you can tell they really want to be the leader in Plated Bullets. We have many guys that have made the switch to XTreme from Berry's, and Rainier including me! :)

I buy from both. I have shot a couple 1000 and Freedom's 45 and 9mm, and have never had any problems. Their shipping has pretty typically been fast.

Now that I am reloading I have ordered quite a bit from them. The product has always been good and the shipping FREE and fast.

I'm a class 06 manufacturer. I use a bunch of Xtreme bullets. I like them better than most of the other plated bullets, with the exception of Rocky Mountain Reloading.

When various components were hard to find, I have bought both new and reman in several calibres from Freedom. Always excellent workmanship and operation in my guns. Both websites show the same photo of the staff, so I suspect that the quality in the ammo area is reflected in the bullets. The only reason I haven't bought bullets from them is that I am addicted to Berry's.

I was leery of X-treme simply because I started with Berry's, but I can tell no difference in performance of 9mm 124 Berry's vs 9mm 124 X-tremes, so I pretty much use them interchangeably depending on availability.

I've bought from both and had good service. Xtreme is the bullet that I use for my 9's, 10's and .40 and really like them.
