All, I just got an XD-45 and love it so far but have not fired it. I was loading dummy rounds and doing a preliminary function check when I noticed something interesting. When inserting a loaded mag with the slide locked back, I noticed that the top round in the mag makes contact with the ejector, and when the mag is locked in place, the ejector skews the top round to the left. The dummies feed fine, but I'm concerned about the wear to the admittedly flimsy-looking ejector.

My question is, have other XD-45 owners noticed that the top round in a magazine makes contact with the ejector when locked in place? I realize that you're not going to have this contact with the slide in battery, because the top round in the mag will rest up against the bottom of the slide before it ever makes contact with the ejector. But when firing, I can imagine the next round in the mag popping up and hitting the ejector each time a case is ejected, which couldn't be good for long-term wear and tear.
