XD .45ACP leather

Will the new Springfield XD in .45acp (4") fit in the same holster as the .40 or 9mm 4" XDs?

I have a friend considering one but he'd like to order a holster for it now, but not many makers list the .45acp XD.

I've heard that they do, but I have no first-hand knowledge. You might ask the fellas on the XD forum that already have the gun, as to what they are using.

I read somewhere, an dang it I can't remember where now, that the 9mm, the .40 and the .45 acp would fit in the same holster. As a thought look on the Springfield Armory web site and compare the deminsions of the three guns, that might give you a clue, too. My son has the gun but he has not purchased a leather rig as yet. The plastic that comes with the gun does not impress me, but gun looks great.

My Fobus and Galco holsters both were marked as being for the 9/357/40 XD's. The Fobus adjuster screw had to be backed out a little. The Galco was a little tight for about a week.

That crossbreed looks nice ... but my friend has his little heart set on an HBE (he really likes the DC Special I have).

I guess I should just ask Eric directly ... duh.

My XD-45acp 4" fits quite well in a Don Hume 721ot originally made for the XD-40 4".

I tried my XD45 in a G-Code holster for a XD9 it fit but was too tight for my liking.

Yes! The following pic is of a FIST holster I had made for my XD45 ACP. It also fits my XD9SC perfectly.
