Comparing your Colt 1911, Sig 220 and the new XD-45acp...which one has the least muzzle flip? Thanks!
Surely if you've been shooting .45 for 40 years you should be able to describe the differences in felt recoil between the XD and a 1911, even if the differences are minimal.camper said:DISCUSSER: That is a question I'm not prepared to answer. Recoil from any 45 has never bothered me and I've been using them for 40 years. Each weapon is different and amount of recoil is load dependent. Suffice it to say that the XD45's recoil is minimal to me and target reaquisition is not a problem.

I can say with certainty that the felt recoil and muzzle flip of any of my steel 1911s is less than that of the HK USP45 or USP45 Tactical.
I've never shot an XD though, so I can't comment, but I'd be interested to know.
I'd like to hear your impressions after you've done that.camper said:Harrydog, got to tell you that when I was firing the XD, the recoil and muzzle flip of the 1911 and 220 did not enter my mind and there was no mental comparison at the time. I will say that the recoil is probably less than my 1911 and 220, but won't say further till I take all three to the range and fire on the same day.
