xd , lcp trade

I was needing some advice i have a used xd 40 tactical that has had the barrel Dura coated a couple of years ago and was thinking of trading it for a new ruger lcp with a laser and was wondering if i an real far off in price different or would i be better off trying to trade for a none laser gun? The XD is a whole kit with the holster and mag holster and just a little holster wear on the corner. Any advice would be nice i have a xd 45 compact that i carry all the time now and the 40 doesn’t see much action any more and was wanting something light to carry around the house.

id be impressed if i could find a lcp around here... but im thinking you would be more in the ball park without the laser... especially if your trading to a shop....

I would certainly agree that the LCP is "light" but does this make it a good choice for carrying around the house? I know it's never going to happen to you but what impact is the LCP going to have on three thugs who decide your house is the one for their next home invasion. Yes, I'm down on mouse guns. No gun is a magic tailsman that's going to keep us from all harm but I'd rather depend on something between 9mm and 45acp for my 24/7 protection.

bought both this week

i bought the xd 40 subcompact monday and the ruger lcp 380 today and non laser lcp costed me 380 out the door and the xd costed me 440 ish so if you got the crimson laser that would be another 160ish so at a gun shop youd come out of pocket about 250 after giving up the xd id just get the non laser version keep the xd and add the laser later on but im new its up to you just giving advice
