Are the mags in the XD-M different than the XD mags? Can I use my XD-9 mags in an XD-M 9mm?

According to the article in this months American Rifleman, the answer should be no. Its a definite no for the .40 S&W version which is out already.
The 9 and .45, since they are not out yet, so its not impossible they'd be made to use the same mags, but I expect the 9mm to hold 19 or 20 rounds based on the capacity increase of the .40 model.

no the mags are not the same and you can't interchange the mags. and the xdm 9mm isn't out yet.

the XD-M mags are dimensionally different.
i hope to check out a 9mm and 45acp version whenever it becomes available for kicks.
