XD9 and XD40 mag interchangability?

I've found a good package deal sub-compact XD40 mags and I'm hoping that at least the bodies and springs are the same as their 9mm counterpart (which is what I'm trying to get mags for).

Can anybody confirm that the mag bodies are inter changeable? What else is the same?

Yes, I know they are only ~$25 plus shipping, but if I can get three mags in the end for only the price of two....

It might work, but with the price of the correct magazines I see no reason to try. Before the AWB expired a lot of people would load 14 rounds of 9mm into a magazine made to hold 10 rounds of .40 ammo. At least with my Glocks and Berettas it works fine. Could not say about another gun untill you tried, but like I said earlier there is really no reason not to just get the correct mags.

Actually, I use the XD40sc mags in my XD9sc on a regular basis. I bent the feed lips a bit, but its a common practice, reliable, and gives you 12+1 rounds instead f the normal 10+1. Here's the howto that explains all:
