I purchased a XDS .45 prior to the recall. I had the repair done, and the gun has worked great both before and after the recall repair. I was wondering if anyone knows of any post recall issues I should be aware of that make it unreliable or unsafe, as I use it as a concealed piece. I've done a number of internet searches and don't see anything, and the gun smith at my LGS tells me they're safe.

Well, there hasn't been a second recall. So I would guess it is safe for a concealed carry piece now. For what it is worth, the recall was to address an issue of the trigger not resetting and possibly causing a double fire. Which no one was able to imitate.

I know of no problems. I, too, had one, sent it in for recall, got it back. Seemed fine to me-no change in the trigger as some reported.

Since it is a carry piece, I have shot the heck out of it since to be sure all is on "go". No problems at all.

Nope, you should be G2G.

You are, apparently, one of the lucky ones that did not have their trigger action ruined by the Upgrade. My XDs45 required the PRP Spring Kit to return the sweetness to the trigger action.

I purchased mine, post recall. Even though I wouldn't call it a range pistol, I make sure to shoot 5-10 mags every range visit. Hasn't hiccuped, yet. I'm well pleased with it. Shoots well, also.

I haven't noticed a change in the trigger, although I'm aware of many people having trigger issues after the repair was completed.

A half pound difference (the reported change in weight from Springfield) is sometimes too small a difference for some people to tell. Myself included. I use a trigger gauge on my pistols every 6 months or so.

I agree, a ½lb would probably have been unnoticeable to me. The way it was returned was so heavy that within about 10 dryfires my trigger finger knuckle would begin to ache. Horrible!

For me, that screwed-up trigger action turned out to be a blessing, though.

I had to buy the PRP Spring Kit and dis-/re-assemble my XDs ... which gave me the perfect opportunity to breakout the Dremel and highly polish & lube all pertinent internal surfaces.

I now have a more thorough understanding of the inner workings of my pistol and the trigger action is now better than it was when it was new ... and it was reeeeeally nice before I sent it back for the Fix. ;)

I could tell a difference in mine. But even though the pull became heavier, it also became smoother and less gritty feeling. So all in all, I'm happy with the post recall trigger. It seems to be smoothing out even more too as I shoot it more.
