Does anyone have any personal experience with the reliability of these pistols? (XDs .45)

I've had my XDs45 for a year and a half now. No reliability hiccups and it's accurate, too. You'll notice the recoil since it's light, but it isn't harsh.

My only gripe was losing it for two months due to last year's recall. The upside is that trigger on mine was even better after returning from the recall. I like having 45acp firepower in such a compact pistol.

I love mine and carry it whenever concealed carry is preferred or required.

I have spoken to four or five people who carry them; some have done a great deal of shooting. All speak highly of the reliability.

I do not see much advantage of the .45 over the 9MM, so I carry the latter, with a four inch barrel. I prefer the greater controllability and the two additional rounds.

Not to hijack the thread, but re: issues with a night sight, as WYO discussed, Trijicon makes them for the gun, but also makes them for a Sig under the p/n SG101 and you have the option of yellow or orange as a front sight, The Sig model fits the XDs dovetail but the sight is shorter front to back and will not overhang the rear of the slide as the Trijicon XDs model does.
Mine is going for that install when I return from deer hunting.

I'm with the boringly reliable.

Not a single issue to report.

Accurate too.

Will even shoot the Hornadys "Critical Duty" without issue.

Carry load.

I went with XS Big Dots on mine. Still shooting tight groups and the big dot is easy to pick up in full light or dark.
