Just ordered a dedicated .22 upper for my AR, my Christmas present to myself..... And now I need a nice .22 scope, well there's always New Years.... ;-)

The two BP guns that I REALLY want right now are....

For me, I'm really lusting after a .45 Colt chambered Schofield revolver. I want, I want, I want....so bad. I already load for my two cartridge BP guns in .45 Colt, and the Schofield would just fit so nicely into that collection.

Second, and this one for the wife, I really want to get her an 1851 Navy Conversion in .38. She loves her cap and ball Navy more than anything in the world and I'd love for her to have a companion cartridge revolver that we can reload for. She's already more than comfortable with the Navy and it would fit perfectly. She's very interested in a cartridge version of the Navy as she really likes the .45 Colt guns but the recoil is just a bit much for her. We love to cast and reload and for her to have her own cartridge gun in a manageable cartridge would be rockin.

Rifle wise, a .45 Colt chambered Spencer or Winchester would be the bees knees as well.

Just dreaming away here!!

It's "sorta" BP related.....

Told the wife and kids not to get me anything for Christmas; I was buying my own present. Back in my late teens/early 20's, I did a bit of leatherwork; mostly belts, some knife and small tool pouches, a woman's wallet for the wife......that I almost thought was gonna be ready by the next Christmas. A retired friend of mine started posting up pictures of the leatherwork that he was doing; in response to my b*tching about the the fact that most (leather) holster manufacturers would SHOW EXAMPLES of left-handed holsters in their catalogs/web pages, but then the fine print reads "Temporarily Out of Stock" FOREVER!
So I whipped out the ol' Discover Card and ordered some tools to replace the long-gone, "sold in a yard sale" tools from when I moved from Tucson back to Yuma. The various, knives, stamps, stitching awls, books and such that I was "never gonna use again!" (Yeah, right) Also caught a smoking deal -$56- on a double-shoulder cut of 7-9 oz economy-grade leather that turned out to have ONE (1) 1/2" by 3" blemish on on 12-14 aq ft of some otherwise gorgeous hide.

But I told myself what I always told the kids when they were little; "NOT BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!"
So that box from Tandy sits open next to the tree; mocking me from now until Dec 25th.

And it's making me crazy! :banghead:

I've been wanting a Walker for so long. Every time I have enough beans in a pile, I end up having to spend it on something else. While not the most practical gun, I would be SO stoked to see one sitting under the tree for me.

I want to be left alone. Paz on terra firma and good will to all men type of stuff would be terrific!

Well I got laid off just before Thanksgiving so I was pretty bummed but I got a new job last week and still had savings left so I popped on a Rogers & Spencer for $325 shipped on Gunbroker. The bad part is I now am up in Massachusetts and it is being shipped to the house in Texas. Not real sure when I will actually get to fondle it.
