I just acquired a 1980 ( 20 serial # ) .357 1894 with the dovetail front sight. I want to upgrade the sighing system and the option of an aperture and a scout scope in QD rings is appealing.
It looks like the front sight would be too low for how high the rear aperture is. Is that just an optical illusion or do I need to install a higher front sight?
