I have several variations of them. I like 'em.

Have a Bianchi that is really not a bad deal for the money. Good heavy leather. Good retention. (Cut the silly little rubber loop off first)

What else you want to know?

If your front sight isn't ramped they can sometimes hang the gun up depending on your draw stroke.

Great for BBQ guns, though and very light.

lycanthrope pretty much summed it up with this... <If your front sight isn't ramped they can sometimes hang the gun up depending on your draw stroke>

Big blocky front sights and Yaqui's dont really mix...They are a really nice design...To bad that they have "fallen from Grace" as it were...

I have a Galco Yaqui, which I use with my Rock Island Armory, Commander sized, 1911. When I bought a Para-Ordnance C7-45 LDA (Officer sized), I found the Yaqui wouldn't really support it well. The gun is butt heavy, having a shorter barrel; so it leans away from me, which makes it print that much more. So, I'm now using a Galco High-Ride Concealment holster.

I have one that I bought for what I thought was a poorly spent $25 at the spring 2003 Knob Creek Shoot.

I spent an evening wet molding it to my Para-Ordnance P13. . . and wow! What a difference. Good retention, holds the gun close in to my body, one handed reholstering, easy draw. . . .

All in all, an excellent investment.
