Year of Production for TC Rifle

How does one determine the year a TC Hawken rifle was made? I know other firearms like Colt 1911's have many websites which use serial numbers to determine the year of production. Are there similar websites for Thompson Center rifles?

There's probably no web site with serial numbers <--> dates, but these people can probably tell you.

I've received this kind of info from Remington, Ruger, and Charter Arms before, most of the time it just takes a phone call.

Well that sucks. I called TC and they said they did not have information regarding the actual year of production of their Hawken rifles because the information was destroyed in a fire in 1999. Sounds like something the government would say.

Oh yes indeed they have suffered a fire! The whole place was gone. They are about 40 minutes from here to the south.
