As long as it has the original barrel the link RC provided is pretty accurate. If in doubt you can call Remington.

I'd estimate 1981. Do not bet heavily on Remington's archive efforts. There was recently a Model 1100 Ducks Unlimited on Gunbroker, with a Remington factory letter stating that it was one of the limited "Dinner Guns." It wasn't. Up until then I did still trust the factory letters. I have not trusted the phone calls since they told me two of mine did not exist.

I just had the same question, and if you go to the main Remington website and send them and email they can send you an answer. I had a response regarding my '78 model in less than 24 hours.
