Today was the end of my 10 day wait. I played hooky from work long enough to pick up my new DW Bobtail...then a quick 100 rounds at the range...then field strip & clean. Life is good :D

Nice! My local gun store has one in SS; they HAD a Ed Brown Kobra Carry at the same time, but it sold. The DW still looks really good.

There was a nice test of the DW Classic Bobtail in the October 2006 American Rifleman. It was quite accurate for its size. In addition, the young lady demostrating it on page 74 showed a good grip and stance and was very attractive as well!

    :D :D

I've been very very tempted by a CBOB or PM-7 lately.

I have one of the early DW 1911s, and it's been a fantastic gun. I've always wanted to get a more concealable 1911 for carry. I was hoping for more of an officer's model, which I think they made for a very short time, but not any longer. The bobtail is probably the closest they'll ever come again, so that might be what I get.

How does your new gun conceal? Does the bobtail frame really make a difference?

 I wasn't really sold on the bobtail grip...that is until I picked it up. WOW, what natural feel. The ergos add up to one fine pointer. She's still a bit tight, but is a nice shooter. I have 1000 rounds purchased to break her in...I have purpose at the range again :D It's ALL good

    10-ring,
It looks good man, and a 1000rds should be more than plenty to break her in, let us know it does for you! congrats!
