Last weekend I took the scoped 10/22 to the steel plinking lane, knowing it needed to be sighted in because it had a new base.
I shot it a few times, adjusted the turrets, and started pinging steel at 25 yards. One more adjustment ought to do it, so I rotated a turret...and the whole scope rotated with it!

I realized that when I mounted the old scope to the new base I didn't square the scope and torque the rings because I planned on checking eye relief at the next range outing. The "next range outing" turned out to be enough time for me to forget that it needed to be done. Still, I was able to pull the scope backward to rest against a ring and ping steel at 50 yards until the next cease fire when a buddy lent me his allen keys.

Milatary match 10 shots slow, go ck. and score target to left, put up new target, sounds simple. I went down to ck the target I am supose to score, one hole from one bullet is all I could find. the target to the right of it had 19 holes in it the man had been shooting the wrong target. What was sad is he got upset that he wasn't allowed to shoot the round over , packed up and left.
