It is on the main page of www.cnn.com. The question now is:

"Will gun control be a factor when you vote for president next year?"

Not a very good question, since both pro's and anti's could answer "yes." Presently the results are running 60% "no" and 40% "yes." I'm not sure how the Democrats would interpret these numbers, but I'm thinking the more people who vote "yes," the more they will back off making gun control an issue. Anyway, I voted "yes." It is always a factor for me, as I will never vote for anyone who is pro gun control, no matter whatelse they stand for.

I have noticed that most of the questions in CNN's polls are worded to where the results could be interpreted (or misinterpreted, as the case may be) for whatever result was desired. The poll is only as good as the question presented.

And how does one answer this question ? If I intend to vote for candidates that do NOT preach more control my answer could still be yes because it is an issue or fator. I think the question is poorly stated by design so that maybe they can twist it to meet their agenda - if not, it is just poorly stated period !

Welcome to the modern media. How else do you think they can interpret "statistics" any way they want.

Very interesting, there are 0 comments posted.

I wrote "that if the anti-gun groups continue to push their agenda such as HR 1022 that it will be the only issue for myself and my friends".

They claim to moderate the comments and only post those appropriate. I guess that means " only those comments that support their position.

I think the media is surprised that the general public is not buying into their hype!

Yeah, I saw that one too...

and immediately saw how it was worded to work whichever way the
Communist News Network wanted it to. :cuss:  Those people are about as low as the the bottom of a water treatment plant's main sewer tank.

The part that pisses me off the most about CNN is they have no clue that the Second Amendment is the ONLY thing that guarantees them their right to use the First Amendment. :fire: Even if it is to the great detriment of the American People. :banghead:

Clever little push poll there.

They will interpret (and report) every "Yes" answer as being a pro gun-control vote.

Sneaky little bastards.

I don't think it's that bad of a question. It sounds like the goal is to determine if people see firearms as an important political issue. Most polls in the last few days have been pro-gun/anti-gun. This one is care/don't care. I think that's a legitimate question, and one we should pay attention to (for scientific polls, of course; not this one).

If you're upset that people looking at the poll can't tell whether you're pro- or anti-gun, then you should probably take internet polls a little less seriously. ;)
