They're mine!!! Mine all mine!!! After years of playing patty-cake with me, The Old Man finally called me up and said, "Come and get 'em. They're your's now."

The top one, the 28-gauge, I have named "Sarah Jessica." The 20-gauge underneath, who you've met, is named "Mary Louise."

The Wife has pretty much told me that she expects me to drag my sorry butt out to PGC on Friday and shoot them, or else.

After months of Hell, things are finally lookin' up :p

Congrats and Mazeltov. Pun on Parkers noted.

I'll be there at 10:30, please bring LOTS of ammo.....

You guys have no idea how long I've lusted after these puppies. The Old Man finally "loaned" me the 20-gauge for a few months last year. As Dave can attest, I shot the daylights out of that gun knowing that Pop would eventually decide that I've had too much fun and ask for it back. Trap, Skeet, Chinese, Sporting Clays, and "Dave's McC's Wobble Flurries" (which sounds more like a frozen Summer drink than a fun shooting drill, doesn't it?), you name it - I shot it.

I've only shot the 28 once... once. That was back when The Old Man bought her. She handles like a dream, comes up soooooo smooth and quick <sigh>. She's gonna put me in the poorhouse, I'm afraid..

I found Estate 28-ga 2-dram 3/4-oz 8's online for about $62 per flat. With shipping it's about $72. I figure I can buy a flat or two to keep around and reload my 1000 or so AA empties that The Old Man gave me when I got my Briley tubes for my Citori...

Poorhouse, here I come

"Dave McC's Wobble Flurries"....

Has a certain ring to it, huh?

Sup, if the financial burden gets too great, I'll provide foster care at my place for a few months to help you out, ol' buddy. I'll make sure they get lots of fresh air and exercise....

Well, we met up at PGC and I got to shoot Sarah Jessica. It weighs about 5 lbs, I venture, and is absolutely GAWJASS. Ed shoots it well, but he shoots everything well.

If this ever develops into a "look at what I did with a few beers, a hacksaw and some duct-tape" thread, there's gonna be some blood spilled. ;):D

Those are some beautiful guns. As nice as they look in the picture, I'd bet that wood is amazing in person.

Well, now that'cha mention it.... ;)

Just gotta figure out a way to mount that Streamlight on the Picatinny rail....

ETA - Dave: I checked my itin just now and I don't leave for Lexington, KY 'til next Saturday morning. If you were serious about shooting a round of Sporting Clays next Friday I'm open!

Fine, let's do Chinese with the guys and then saunter through the woods firing off the odd shot here and there....
