Hello All !!

First time Yote hunter:what:

I have a chance to help a local land owner out, he wants me to thin out the yotes on his land. I agreed and he will soon take me out. I didn't want to sound like a noob and ask this stupid question, So I thought I'd ask it here:confused:

What is the customary disposal method of the dead yotes ?
Leave 'em lay ? Haul 'em off ? Hide 'em ?? Bar ditch accident ?

What do you guy's do ??

Thanks

Dogg

Ask the landowner. He may have a preference or two regarding dead carcasses on his property. If not? If you don't want the hide or the meat, might as well leave it lay as far as I'm concerned.

Buzzards need lovin' too.

I've heard, and it seems to be true, that leaving a dead coyote will keep the others away for a while.

This is great for the landowner, who just wants to be rid of them.
This is bad for you, because you now have to look for another place to hunt

For future invites back please do all the safety stuff (back stop, don't shoot toward farm animals/buildings, etc.) and listen to what the landowner wants you to do.
Have fun and do us all proud.

I agree with the other posts- BE SAFE and do what the landowner wants you to do with the carcasses. Pelts aren't worth the work of skinning this time of year.

If he's going to be with you, and assuming you have a chioce of weapons, you might use a gun without ear-shattering muzzle blast. If he gets the blast from your ported .416 he may not kick you out, but may have a lower opinion of hunters in general! (I like my 223 for coyotes.)
