The little sixgun was donated by Reeder for the trip. I know Jim & he wouldn't have ordered it this way. It's a gift horse & one shouldn't look it in the mouth.

I don't really like it & wouldn't give the orginal value of 400 for it but this $ is going for a cause, not really for the sixgun. I can & will say the money will be put to good use............Creeker

I kinda like it...

I think I'll pass. However guns do get some interesting names, Pit Bull, Bonnie and Clyde, Ladies Home Companion!

TK, don't feel too bad if someone calls you "gordo", though it means fat, many things in languages get lost in translation.

You have to pay attention to the context and nuances. My neighbors affectionately call their cute daughter "gorda", though I think it's a bit mean it's not meant to be.

Hey it IS for a good cause and if you only like it a little, you could always send it back to Reeder to remove the offending language or just replace the barrel with one less... uhhh... fancy? :scrutiny:

True, but I can assure you that around here, the context is almost always insulting. I mean, I learned how to cuss in spanish before I ever learned to cuss in english!

The nice thing about Mr. Reeder is that he is more than happy to build you a gun with NO engraving on it if that is what you want. His package guns often have, shall we say, "over the top" embellishing, but you can order the package without the embellishment. The main thing is I have never heard any complaints about the functioning and accuracy of any of his guns.

Rugerdude -I agree.

I have 2 Reeder Customs, and they do something that few other guns do - tear all 5 or 6 holes toegther at 25 Yds.

Of course if the scroll work is going to stop anyone from that ....
