So, what's your favorite lead bullet? I've only reloaded 500 rounds of Meister Bullets Inc. 45 SWC 200gr. Looking to try something new now.

I cast a lot of my own -- I have a Lee 6-cavity mould (surprisingly inexpensive) for the 230 grain tumble-lube bullet. I cast mine of straight wheel weights.

Favorite lead bullet for 45acp!!!

I like a 225-230 gr.cast Truncated cone bullet for my 45's. This bullet shape feeds well, and the flat nose seems to hit a little harder than the round nose. Lays out a jack rabbit much better .... I use these in pin shoots also, they grab the pin a bit better than a round nose. I cast my own out of a Lee mold, but they are available from most casting business's. :)

I like the 200 LSWC's from Kead Bullets. I think that with the alloy he uses they weigh in about 193-195 grains. I can shoot them slow for bullseye or crank'em way up for other uses.

Just my .02

Regards,
Dave

I load a lot of both the lead 225TCs and 200 gr SWCs in .45 ACP but if I could only have one bullet it would be the 230gr RN. May not cut the nice clean holes in paper as the others but it's easy to load, accurate, and works in most pistols with no feeding problems.

I cast about 10 different bullet for 45acps and own five guns and if i had to pick an overall bullet for them it would be the lyman 200 swc

My favorite "store bought" bullets are 230gr rn Billy Bullets. I've shot about 15k of them.
