Stuff is stacked muzzle down just to get it to fit. On top of that, your 46" bbl Brown Bess just doesn't fit.:(

" You know your safe is too small when... " One (at least) handgun somehow HAS to lie partly or in full, on top of another!

" You know your safe is too small when... " you have made as many extra shelves as will work, and still all space is used.

" You know your safe is too small when... " it is a constant hassle having rifles scoped and with slings ... they take up more room and ''tangle'' with each other.

" You know your safe is too small when... " The rifle you particularly want out today is '''at - the - back :( - and it's a major removal job to clear all the others in front.

" You know your safe is too small when... " all the mags you used to keep in there - now have to come out to go elswhere ... just so as to squeeze in a couple more handguns.

" You know your safe is too small when... " C&R's can no longer have their home . and are relegated to ''other places''.

I think there are others but these apply to me! And I haven't space for another safe!:p

In another thread recently someone decided that buying an old bank was the only way to get a big enough safe.

The bank around the corner from me closed a while back. Noticed today that there's a for sale sign on the building. The ultimate gun safe, if anybody's interested :D

". . .when you get a C&R license."

". . .when you see that Mosin Nagants are going for $60."

". . .you have to resort to using your triggerlocks."

You know your safe(s) is/are too small when...

...when you exceed the safes' listed capacities by a factor of 2 or more and you still can't fit everything in them.

As a matter of fact a gun shop in Tonganoxie is in an old bank branch office. The ULTIMATE gun safe and he's located across the street from the police department.Location ,location etc..

For a while my Father, Brother and myself all shared the same safe. All this talk of "You know your safe is too small when....." got me thinking of one time when my brother and I were looking at the open safe and I told him that I planned on buying my own safe. When he asked why I told him.....

"I was getting concered that it was getting crowded in there and everything on the horizan pointed towards thins getting worse."

He then fell on the floor laughly hysterically. After he compsed himself he told me that was the same line from the first Ghostbuster when one of the characters was talking about the containment unit used to house the ghosts.

You had to have been there I guess but I thought it was funny at the time.

i have since moved on to my own safe and started looking at another one.

You know you don't have enough long guns when you can fit a Martin dreadnought (in hardcase) in the long gun partition.... :banghead:

".... when the only functioning firearms in there are your regular shooters & there are a couple of boxes filled with bolts in there also. The boltless firearms are scattered all over the house, under beds, back of closets, behind bookcases, hanging over doorways, .... (not that I would know anything about having that problem  :D ).

"..... when you are seriously considering removing from the fire safe the binder that contains 15 years worth of family photo negatives, because if you do then there is room for another $100 CZ52 :scrutiny: .

Ah well, it is a sickness & I'm glad that I have it :D .

When you give your brother a Weatherby 7mm Rem mag with Leopold scope so you can fit in another CZ 550 Varmint in .308.

..when the safe door won't close without something coming out. But atleast I'll always have to be armed, 'lest something gets stolen! :uhoh:

My gun safe is packed like one of those Chinese puzzles. Turn this one half a turn to the left, then pull the stock out; Tilt that one 30 degrees to the right and it'll come out....You get the idea. I try to keep the shooters out front though.

Last year, Mrs. AZLib and I bought a small piece of property on which to eventually put up a vacation/retirement cabin. Not that I have nearly enough guns to fully justify this, but I can't get rid of the image in my head of garage complete with a hidden gun-room behind a gunsafe door. I've got lots of negotiations to do with the Mrs. to get this one through though.

Any lefties will agree with this one, left and right handed bolts, mixed with scopes and pistol grip stocks mean a 14 gun safe......isn't. :banghead:

And those pistol racks are meant for flatsided shell-shuckers. I had to have ALL my shelves trimed to a shorter depth so I could shut the door with my magnum wheelies on the door rack.(Between the long barrels and big cylinders, the door doesn't hold too many.) I've actually started collecting contender barrels, 'cause they stack easier than a whole pistol.

I've gotta get another one......soon.

Fella's;

Ben, I'm a leftie too, I know the pain. But people, I can help, in fact I'm anxious to help. I sell safes for a living.

Too small when....

You have to disassemble long guns to get them inside and still don't have enough room to get many of the stocks in with them.
