You need to outsmart Obama

He is trying to win politically by acting like he did everything in his power(EO's) and put the onus on Congress....where if they don't pass his proposed bans, the next mass shooting he can lay blame on them.

Now how to outsmart------Give him everything he wants: Assault weapons ban, high capacity ban, background checks etc...give him everything. The caveat would be that after these bans, the first time a mass shooting takes place, all these bans would be revoked PERMANENTLY. Never again to be proposed by Congress. Of course I'm being facetious but you get the point. He/they would never go for it because they KNOW that none of these shootings would/will be stopped by these bans.

I also got the feeling be was setting Congress up to take the blame if/when the AWB version 2.0 fails.

I could almost get behind a poison pill idea, but what if it backfires on us and by some force of nature, actually works. That would suck.

The blood will already be on his hands. If I remember correctly, and I do, it was demanded by Lapierre that school carry/"guards" be implemented immediately.. while the president was vacationing in Hawaii for two weeks.. with an armed detail, of course.
