I have the Xanthos at home, and it's a lot of fun. You'd be surprised how loud it is. I shoot a lot more blanks than slugs--the blanks are easier to find. Dad claims he read about a way to load small birdshot pellets into the blank rounds to manufacture ammunition, but I don't think he's tried it.
He's got a pretty extensive collection of 2mm pinfires other than the Xanthos. Some of them are really impressive little works of art.
When I hold mine, I always think of the "Indian in the Cupboard" books. There are scenes where the boy Omri has brought his toys to life and, for instance, a tiny company of Royal Marines shoot up the neighborhood skinhead punks with teeny tiny little machine guns. The full size people end up picking slugs out of their faces with tweezers.
