I love Tennessee!!!!

Among them, the six members of a Tennessee trapshooting team have won seven important competitions. And that's just counting beauty pageants!

Factor in this high school team's prowess on the state's trap fields, its positive influence on others involved in the sport, and its proud but little hometown of McKenzie (pop. 5,200), and this group of eye-catchers really begins to shine.

McKenzie public schools fields a trapshooting contingent that features several teams competing at different ages and skill levels, including a state champion team and two other teams qualified to vie for national titles. All will travel to Ohio in August when the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) hosts the championship rounds of its fast-growing Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP). But, national titles aside, it's McKenzie's arresting all-girls team-multi-crowned beauty queens who also happen to be cheerleaders, honor students, scholarship athletes, school leaders and all-around good kids-that has emerged among this sport's most visible and effective ambassadors.

Good for them!

When the Olympics were in LA, there were two women competing in the Skeet event, and doing very well. Besides the shotgun events, the only other categories where women compete on a par with men are sailing and dressage. Hope these young ladies keep with it.
