Started a 50-70 yard, archery target yesterday. Got out early and still sweating, dripping wet working in 100% humidity.

These were "parts" down in the woods, from a target frame decades ago. The PTP 4X4's were part of the kids swingset "complex". I tore it down 10 years ago. Anyway, pressure washed all the funk off.

The tall poles will get cut off, just under roof height. Making 3 trusses, screw one on each end.... put a spread double header under them. Add 3rd truss in the middle. Put some perlins on top and screw some 5V metal on.

Gonna pile up dirt on bttm to cover gap. Remove temporary, lower 2X6. Then, "hang" a bag target in the center..... and can also use chunks of leftover 3D targets.

Thanks for the thread! Reminds me to start practicing! Going to bow hunt in Wisconsin this year after canceling last year because of COVID.
I agree with practicing at >40 yards makes you better at <40 yards or hunting distances.

Enjoy your practice everyone :)
