Hello friends and neighbors // I like the many different firearms we all appreciate as well as all the different ways we photograph them.

The mountain rifle photo by Malamute has been my screen saver several times over the years.. definitely a keeper... nice photo shop job BTW (just kidding) outstanding hunting grounds and photo.

I have several pics that came out better than expected...read "got lucky" but this speaks to me of hard won Victories thru two World Wars,, a history that
always makes me proud to be an American gun owner.
Without them where would we be? Winchester1897fullcrop.jpg

stressed, gotta ask - RPG captured in one of the sandboxes and photographed there, or on of the super rare legal NFA RPGs in the US?
Iron man, nice photos, nice pistolas - love the see-through HK mag. Someday I'll be able to afford a 'can or two. :)

Phantom Captain - that's AWESOME, love that pic!

Thanks! I'm quite fond of that one too. I took it at a National Event at the Nash Farm Battlefield just south of Atlanta in 2009. We had a few thousand reenactors there and we were the only Indiana unit that actually was from Indiana. If you look closely through the smoke you can see a Confederate officer up on the ridge above the prepared trench line there. We were ordered to attack up the slope and take the ridge. What you can't see are the hundreds of Confederate soldiers along that line obscured by our own smoke.

With all my years experience reenacting I think this photo really gets as close as one can to the civil war without actually being there (yet, obviously with the heartbreak of all the death and destruction). Being on-line during a volley in the summer heat, wearing wool, hearing the sounds, smelling the powder, coughing on and seeing all the smoke, etc. really puts it all into perspective.

Something about the simplicity of Contents picture that I really like..

Malamute where was your taken?

That Match Target is a thing of beauty!

I have one that was my Grandfathers. It's not as pretty as that one, but I wouldn't change a thing about it.
